Leaders and stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Akinyele and Lagelu Federal Constituency have reached a major resolution following a high-level consensus meeting held at the residence of Alhaji Oribayo Oladoye Okeyode.


The meeting, convened in line with the directive of Governor Seyi Makinde, brought together key political figures across both local governments to deliberate on the 2027 House of Representatives race and strengthen party unity.


Those in attendance included Engr Julius Akinsola (Chairman, Akinyele Leaders Forum), Chief Akinropo Aderibigbe, Alhaji Wahab Gbolagun, Alhaji Rohoof Gazali, Hon Akinwole Akinleye (Executive Chairman, Akinyele LGA), Hon Olusegun Olayiwola (Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology), Hon Jelili Adeleke, Hon Lateef Babatunde Salau (Akinyele PDP Chairman), Alhaji Tiri Olaibi, Chief Dupe Odenwenwa, Alhaji Sulaimon Arowosaye, Hon Oludayo Opatokun (Oyo Central PDP Chairman), Hon Abideen Akintola, Hon Mrs Babatunde Abosede,.


Others include, Hon Mrs Fadahunsi Olabambo, alongside Alhaji Oribayo Oladoye Okeyode, Elder Kehinde Fabunmi, Chief Leke Winkunle, Evangelist Sunday Ayobami, Alhaja Wulemot Ibitoye, Chief Michael Adegoke, Chief Babatunde Tijani, Chief Festus Alade, Hon Jide Adeniran, Hon Soji Oladejo, Hon Kazeem Gbadamosi, Chief Femi Falowo (Lagelu PDP Chairman), Ms Aduke Okewusi, Chief Benedict Akika, and Hon Kamorudeen Mudashiru (Executive Chairman, Lagelu LGA).


At the meeting, the leaders unanimously adopted the rotational arrangement between Akinyele and Lagelu and agreed that Akinyele will produce the PDP candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election.


The forum further resolved to fully support the adopted candidate from Akinyele across both local governments. With this decisive position, Engr Toheeb Adegoke ADLAT has been unanimously adopted as the sole candidate, reflecting a united front and strong grassroots backing as momentum builds toward the 2027 elections.
