As political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections in Oyo State, key stakeholders within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have continued to emphasize unity, transparency, and internal democracy as guiding principles for success.
    ‎
‎These values were once again brought to the fore in the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency, where a recent party decision has drawn commendation from party faithful and observers alike.
    ‎
‎Hon. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, who has officially emerged as the consensus candidate for the constituency, expressed deep appreciation to party leaders and members for what he described as a credible and transparent process.
    ‎
‎According to him, the approach adopted by the PDP in the constituency reflects a commitment to fairness and collective progress.
    ‎
‎Adedeji specifically praised the leadership style of Governor Seyi Makinde, noting that his influence has continued to foster internal democracy and trust within the party structure.
    ‎
‎He highlighted that the governor’s dedication to good governance and inclusiveness has set a strong example for party members across the state.
    ‎
‎He also extended his gratitude to PDP leaders in the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency, acknowledging their roles in ensuring that the selection process was free, fair, and devoid of manipulation.
    ‎
‎Adedeji noted that the unity demonstrated by stakeholders was instrumental in reaching a consensus without rancor.
    ‎
‎Describing his emergence as both an honor and a responsibility, Adedeji pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him by the party and the people.
    ‎
‎He emphasized his commitment to delivering effective representation and prioritizing the developmental needs of the constituency if elected.
    ‎
‎Furthermore, he called on party members and supporters to remain united and focused as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
    ‎
‎He stressed that sustained cooperation and loyalty to the party’s ideals would be crucial in securing victory at the polls.
    ‎
‎Political analysts have observed that the peaceful consensus-building process in the constituency could serve as a model for other regions.
    ‎
‎As the countdown to 2027 continues, the PDP in Oyo State appears poised to consolidate its strength, with leaders like Adedeji signaling readiness to build on the party’s achievements.
