‎Stakeholders, Youths, Clerics, Students & Traders Rally Behind Kolawole Sheu Adedeji for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency

A wave of political momentum is building across the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency as stakeholders, youths, clerics, students, and traders have thrown their weight behind Kolawole Sheu Adedeji ahead of the next electoral cycle.
    ‎
‎The growing support, according to local political engagement patterns similar to recent PDP consensus drives across Oyo State, reflects an emerging alignment among community leaders and political actors seeking unity and stability in candidate selection.
    ‎
‎“Stakeholders across political, traditional, religious, and market structures have expressed growing confidence in Kolawole Sheu Adedeji as a unifying figure capable of representing the constituency effectively at the national level,” said a fishmonger.
    ‎
‎Local engagement across wards and communities has continued to intensify, with growing discussions around his emergence as a consensus-friendly candidate who could bridge political and social divides within the constituency.
    ‎
‎“Youths, clerics, students, and traders within Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency have also intensified their rallying call, describing his emergence as a timely opportunity for inclusive representation and grassroots development,” said a trader.
    ‎
‎Insiders note that such grassroots mobilisation has become a defining feature of emerging political endorsements in Oyo State, especially as party structures lean more toward consensus-building strategies ahead of elections.
    ‎
‎Beyond the growing endorsements, cross section of supporters who spoke to journalists also highlighted what Kolawole Sheu Adedeji is expected to bring to the constituency if eventually elected.
    ‎
‎Many believed he would prioritize improved access to federal presence in rural communities, ensuring that infrastructural development such as road rehabilitation, better rural electrification, and enhanced water supply projects are attracted to neglected areas within Ido/Ibarapa East.
    ‎
‎They argue that his representation could help reduce the developmental gap between urban and rural settlements in the constituency.
    ‎
‎He is also being described by supporters as someone who could focus on youth empowerment and economic inclusion, particularly through skills acquisition programmes, small business support schemes, and advocacy for federal employment opportunities.
    ‎
‎According to them, this would help address rising unemployment and create sustainable livelihoods for young people across the constituency.
    ‎
‎Furthermore, some residents say his legislative focus is expected to strengthen education and agricultural development, two key sectors in the area.
    ‎
‎They believe he could push for better funding of schools, improved learning infrastructure, and agricultural support systems for farmers, especially in cassava, cocoa, and food crop production, which remain central to the local economy.
    ‎
‎“If given the mandate, we believe he will attract meaningful development projects and give our people a stronger voice at the national level,” said a supporter.
