The administration of Governor Seyi Makinde has been commended following the successful completion of Kosobo Layout Area of Oyo East.

The appreciation was contained in a letter signed by the spokesperson of the community, Engr Tonie Akanno.

“On behalf of the good people of Kosobo Community Zone 7B of Chief Ashamu Layout Area, we want to thankfully express our profound gratitude and applaud to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering commitment to the development of the state and most especially, for the recent roads construction in Kosobo Layout Area of Oyo East Local Government. We appreciate you, our beloved Governor and leader, for your humility, empathy, and simplicity in governance, that you have consistently demonstrated with implementation of several notable projects across Oyo State, since May 2019.

“We are very happy for the five (5) newly constructed roads/streets with asphalt layer surfacing and drainage on both sides of the roads in our community. The streets’ roads around the kosobo axis in oyo east local government are Chief Ashamu road Olayiwola Street, Catholic Convent Road and other link roads to Oyo-Akinmorin Road.

“We know that getting these projects across the finish line requires immense effort and serious commitment of His Excellency Seyi Makinde towards improving the welfare and general well-being of our people, in the community. Also, we hereby acknowledge the street lights installation , which was carried out some time ago. Families in our neighborhood are now enjoying improved quality of life, mobility and security, thanks to these projects – road construction and street lights.

“We are also appreciative of senator Monsurat Sunmonu, for her various initiatives and effort to bring development to Oyo town in the past several years, most especially for her roles in these aforementioned projects. May God continue to grant her wisdom, good health and courage to keep providing good leadership to the people of Oyo town and Oyo State at large.

“The prompt execution of these roads’ projects, in particular, is a good testament of using indigenous contractors who are committed to their towns and also in supporting the infrastructural transformative agenda of the Oyo State Government. We are grateful to the contractor for fast-pace execution of the projects with minimal disruption to the comfort of people in the community. Well done for a good job.

“Once again, we thank the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Seyi Makinde, for the projects with demonstrative prioritisation of the welfare of citizens of Oyo State and as a testament to the Governor’s dedication to fulfilling his campaign promises to spread development across Oyo State. God bless!”
