The Oyo State Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Adekemi Felicia Opatunde, has expressed deep appreciation to the Okanlomo Oodua, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, following a recent courtesy visit by the party’s women wing to Ilaji.
In a statement issued after the engagement, Dr. Opatunde described the renowned businessman and philanthropist as a major contributor to the economic development of Oyo State, citing his investments, job creation efforts, and unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to her, the visit, though delayed due to the demands of ongoing political activities and the emergence of candidates across the state, was necessary to formally acknowledge Sanusi’s impact and contributions to society.
She commended his inclusive and people-oriented leadership style, noting that his empowerment initiatives have positively affected countless individuals across Oyo State.
“Dr. Sanusi’s contribution to economic development in Oyo State is phenomenal. Beyond business, his approach has always been detribalized, inclusive, and focused on uplifting people,” she stated.
Dr. Opatunde added that the APC Women Wing considered it important to recognize and celebrate his track record of service and commitment to community development.
The APC chieftain also revealed that Dr. Sanusi shared valuable advice and practical insights during the meeting, drawn from his experience as a respected community leader.
According to her, the guidance received would assist the women wing as the party intensifies preparations ahead of future political engagements, particularly the 2027 general elections.
She further assured Okanlomo Oodua of the continued support, respect, and partnership of the APC Women Wing in Oyo State, stressing the group’s commitment to strengthening the party at the grassroots.
“The Women Wing will continue to seek his guidance and support as we work to strengthen APC at the grassroots and secure victory for our party in 2027,” the statement added.
The visit formed part of ongoing consultations and stakeholder engagements by the Oyo APC Women Wing aimed at fostering unity and mobilization within the party ahead of the next electoral cycle.
