As Muslims across the world prepare to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27, 2026, member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has distributed rams to Imams across the five communities in the federal constituency as part of activities marking the annual Islamic celebration.

The lawmaker also announced the disbursement of N15 million to selected Muslim faithful within the constituency to enable them celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir with ease and happiness. The gesture, according to the beneficiaries, is another demonstration of the lawmaker’s commitment to the welfare of the people, especially during festive periods.

Speaking during the distribution exercise, Hon. Adepoju appreciated Muslim faithful for always turning out en masse during his yearly Iftar programme and Ramadan lecture, noting that the support and cordial relationship between the Islamic community and his administration have continued to yield positive outcomes for the constituency.

He stressed that religious harmony, mutual understanding and consistent engagement with community stakeholders remain critical to sustainable development, adding that his office would continue to support programmes that promote peace, unity and communal progress across Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency.

The distribution exercise was coordinated by the lawmaker’s Special Adviser on Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Adesope Owotutu, who conveyed the goodwill message of Hon. Adepoju to the beneficiaries and urged them to continue praying for the peace, progress and development of the constituency and the nation at large.

In their separate remarks, the Imams and other beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation to the federal lawmaker for always extending such generous gestures to them every year, describing him as a leader who has consistently identified with the people irrespective of religious or political affiliations.

Various recipients of the Eid support also offered prayers for Hon. Adepoju, asking God to grant success to all his aspirations and “make all his dreams come true” as he continues to provide quality leadership and impactful representation for the people of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency.
