The Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Hon. Oluokun Peter Olusola, has congratulated all Muslim faithful on the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha, urging them to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, love, and peaceful coexistence as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

This was contained in a statement issued through his Media Aide, Adeleke Afees Adeniran.
Hon. Oluokun implored Muslims to emulate the teachings and lessons of the holy festival by showing compassion, tolerance, and generosity to one another, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.



The chairman also emphasised the need for people of different faiths to continue living together in peace and harmony for the progress and development of society.



He further reiterated his administration’s commitment to the security of lives and properties, especially during this critical festive period, while assuring residents of continued collaboration with security agencies to maintain peace and order across the local government.


Hon. Oluokun prayed for many more years of peaceful and joyous celebrations on earth, wishing all Muslim faithful a happy and memorable Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
