Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has been named the winner of the 2026 Award for Most Active and Responsive Public/Political Figure in Oyo State at the Oyo Social Media and Distinguished Personalities’ Awards.
The award is one of the recognitions presented annually to individuals who have distinguished themselves through impactful leadership, public service and commitment to the development of their communities in Oyo State. Hon. Adepoju’s emergence reflects the growing acknowledgement of his contributions to governance and constituency representation since his election into the Nigerian parliament in 2023.
In the highly competitive category, the Ibarapa-born technocrat cum
politician was nominated alongside several prominent political figures in Oyo State, including Hon. Adeyemi Akeem Adeniyi, Senator Yunus Akintunde, Hon. Adigun Abass Agboworin, Hon. Olorunpoto Rahaman, Dr. Wasiu Ajani Adewale Olatunbosun and Senator Fatai Buhari.

Reacting to the recognition, the spokesman to Hon. Adepoju, Hassan Adesodi Olaoniye described the award as a significant affirmation of the lawmaker’s dedication to quality representation, noting that his achievements and people-centred initiatives continue to resonate with constituents and observers across the state.
Olaoniye stated that the award demonstrates that the efforts and interventions of the federal lawmaker since assuming office in 2023 have not gone unnoticed, adding that his responsiveness to the needs of the people remains one of the hallmarks of his leadership style.
