A former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Amofin Beulah Adeoye is set to emerge as the party’s candidate for the Oyo North Senatorial District, following ongoing reconciliation efforts within the party.

Goalpoachernews reliably gathered that consultations are at an advanced stage to compensate Amofin who was defeated during the PDP governorship primary by former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Hazeem Gbolarumi.

According to party sources, the move is part of broader efforts to unite the party ahead of the next general election by accommodating key stakeholders who participated in the governorship race.

Beaulah Adeoye, an indigene of Itesiwaju Local Government Area in the Oke Ogun zone of Oyo State, is being considered for the Oyo North Senatorial ticket, with indications that an agreement could be finalised in the coming days.

Meanwhile, if the arrangement is eventually sealed, the PDP candidate will face a keen contest against the candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Shina Peller, as well as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hannah Ogunesan, in what is expected to be a closely watched senatorial election.
