The President of a Multidisciplinary Finance Professionals Group (MFP) Dr Prince Oyebade Oyedepo, FCA, JP has opined that a good and well stocked library is one of the best ways to enhance reading culture.

The MFP top-brass expressed this opinion when he was speaking as one of the Special Guests of Honour at the Official Commissioning of the Multi-Million Naira Ultra-Modern Library built by the Accountancy Students’ Association (ASA) ’87 Set of The Polytechnic, Ibadan yesterday, Friday, 10th July, 2026.



In his words, “Without library, there is no structure to warehouse books and nothing to accommodate readers and researchers, this underscores the importance of library to the promotion of reading culture. Therefore, you have promoted reading culture by building a library for the use of the students, lecturers and many others in the institution with this gesture”.



According to the Anti-Corruption Czar, the library built by ’87 Set of ASA, The Polytechnic, Ibadan is a remarkable feat worthy of commendation and emulation by all and sundry. In his words, “Most members of your set are Chartered Accountants doing well in the society. They are contributing immensely to the growth and development of this Nation. This is just one of their various ways of contributing to the advancement of the Country. I give them kudos for this milestone recorded in addition to others”.


The MFP boss promised to help facilitate donation of some books by members of his group. Speaking further, Dr Oyebade says, “On behalf of MFP Group, I donate copies of The Magnet Journal, a Publication of MFP Global Services comprising of 25 articles written by seasoned scholars and erudite professionals. In addition, I am also presenting the copies of the books authored by me to the library”.
The books were received by one of the key figures of the Set, Mogaji Dr Chief S O. Taiwo, FCA on behalf of his colleagues.
The event was witnessed by eminent personalities from all walks of life including top management staff of the Institution, seasoned professionals and many ICONS in the society.
Great speeches were made by the representative of the Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadan Land, Oba Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, FNSE who was the Royal Father of the Day and other highly placed individuals present including Dr Kamorudeen Adeleke Adigun, FCA, CITN Past President.
