As students return to school for the new academic session, the Allied Peoples Movement candidate for Ogbomoso North/South/Oriire Federal Constituency, Hon. John Adisa-Oke, Ph.D., popularly known as Oke LEGACY, has announced the distribution of 6,000 notebooks to pupils and students across basic and post-basic schools in the Ogbomoso Federal Constituency.
    ‎
‎Adisa-Oke, in a message welcoming students, teachers, parents and school communities back to school, described the commencement of a new academic session as an opportunity for learners to acquire knowledge, develop their skills and prepare for a brighter future.
    ‎
‎He said the distribution of the notebooks was aimed at supporting students as they resume in September and ensuring that more children have access to basic learning materials needed for effective academic activities.
    ‎
‎According to him, education remains one of the most important investments that can be made in the future of children and the wider society, stressing that providing learners with the necessary resources would contribute to the development of Ogbomoso.
    ‎
‎“Every new school session brings with it a fresh opportunity to learn, grow, dream and prepare for a brighter future,” he said.
    ‎
‎He added that the initiative was informed by the need to support students and ease some of the challenges associated with accessing essential educational materials, particularly for children from families who may find such expenses difficult to meet.
    ‎
‎Adisa-Oke also urged students to approach the new academic session with determination, discipline and an open mind, encouraging them to ask questions, read widely, respect their teachers and remain confident in their abilities.
    ‎
‎He said, “Education remains one of the most powerful investments we can make in our children. When we provide them with the resources they need, we are investing in the future of our dear Ogbomoso and our society.”
    ‎
‎He further wished the students greater knowledge, renewed ambition and outstanding achievements throughout the new academic session, while welcoming them back to school.
    ‎
‎The gesture, according to him, is part of efforts to encourage learning and provide practical support for pupils and students across the Ogbomoso Federal Constituency as they commence another academic session.
