The Allied People’s Movement (APM) candidate for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, Engr. Toheeb Adegoke ADLAT, has continued his stakeholder engagement across the constituency with a visit to Onisese leaders in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The visit, which took place on Sunday, November 1, 2026, saw the APM candidate received at the Ijo Imole Olodumare Agbaye Temple, where he was warmly welcomed by Mogaji (Dr.) Fatunde Fayemi Fakayode, President of the International Council for Ifa Religion (ICIR).

The engagement brought together the political candidate and representatives of the traditional Yoruba religious community, providing an opportunity for interaction with religious stakeholders whose contributions to the preservation of Yoruba cultural heritage, indigenous knowledge and traditional values remain significant.

Mogaji (Dr.) Fatunde Fayemi Fakayode, who received Engr. ADLAT at the temple, is a prominent figure within the Isese religious community and serves as President of the International Council for Ifa Religion (ICIR).

The visit underscored the importance of maintaining cordial relationships with traditional and religious institutions, particularly in a constituency with a rich cultural heritage and diverse community interests.

Speaking through the engagement, the visit reflected Engr. ADLAT’s commitment to reaching out to different segments of society, listening to community stakeholders and strengthening relationships with institutions that play important roles in the social and cultural development of the people.

For many communities, traditional religious institutions remain important centres of cultural identity, historical preservation and community interaction. Engagements of this nature provide opportunities for mutual understanding and constructive conversations between political representatives and established community institutions.

Engr. ADLAT’s visit to Ijo Imole Olodumare Agbaye Temple is part of his broader engagement with stakeholders across Akinyele and Lagelu as he continues to build relationships ahead of the 2027 general elections.

His approach places emphasis on community engagement, inclusion and recognition of the different institutions and interests that make up the Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency.

The visit also offered an opportunity to recognise the contributions of the Isese community to the preservation and promotion of Yoruba cultural and religious heritage.

As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 elections, engagements with traditional rulers, religious leaders, community development associations, youth groups and other stakeholders are expected to remain important aspects of political consultations across the constituency.

Engr. Toheeb Adegoke ADLAT is seeking election to represent Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives under the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), with his campaign anchored on the message of Engineering Towards Progress.
