Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has presented a huge tortoise to the paramount ruler of Ogbomoso land, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III to replace the dead “Alagba”.
Makinde who represented by the Commissioner for Education, Barr. Olasunkanmi Aremu Olaleye rejoiced with the prominent king on the celebration of his 93rd birthday and wished him many more years and good health.
The Commissioner on behalf of the Governor of the State, presented a huge tortoise to the king as birthday gift from the Governor.
The king who received the gift with joy, commended the Governor on his achievements and urged him to keep the flag flying. The king assured Seyi Makinde that he has his support as the governor is working tirelessly to take the state to greater heights than he met it.
The delegation was received by the Caretaker Chairman Ogbomoso North Local Government Hon. Ajagbe Ibrahim Ajagbe and the Caretaker Chairman Ogbomoso South Local Government Hon. Timothy Ojeniyi.
