The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde has been commended for taking a bold step in re- opening of schools since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
The commendation was given by the Caretaker Chairman of Omi-Apata LCDA Hon Sheriff Adeojo during the inspection visit to some primary schools within the council area.
Hon Sheriff Adeojo expressed satisfaction at the level of compliance with COVID-19 precautionary measures in the Schools visited which include I.D.C Prmary School Erinkoja obe, Hope Central Primary School Omi-Adio and At John Primary School Omi Onigbagbo
In all the schools visited there were hand washing points, use of face masks by both teachers and pupils, hand sanitisers, liquid wash, soap, pupils were seated observing social distancing rule except IDC Erinkoja obe where construction of blocks of classrooms is on-going
The chairman was accompanied by the Director of Education and Social Services Mrs T. A Adeniran.
