PHOTOS:COVID-19:Decontamination,Containment Committee Inaugurated in Ogbomoso Zone
As part of measures to contain and curtail the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic at various communities, the Oyo State Government on Tuesday inaugurated Ogbomoso Zone COVID-19 decontamination and containment committee at Ikoyi Ile, Orire Local Government.
In attendance were the five Caretaker Chairmen namely: Hon Seun Ojo- Ogo Oluwa, Hon Ajagbe Ibrahim – Ogbomoso North, Hon Oyeniyi Timothy – Ogbomoso South,Adegbite Isaiah -Surulere and the host chairperson Hon Lydia Bankole, Orire LG.
In her welcome address, Hon Lydia Bankole commended Governor Seyi Makinde for the decentralization of COVID-19 decontamination and containment Committee, adding that Makinde has adopted the best approach to curtail the spread of the pandemic in the state.
She noted that the committee will coordinate all response activities, to ensure effective surveillance system and ensure that the zone has adequate information as regards any identified likelihood of Covid-19.
She said, “we will carry out adequate mobilization and awareness to tell people what they need to do on new discovery so that we won’t be caught unaware and have issues that we can’t curtail.”
