The lawmaker representing Akinyele constituency 1 at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Ayotunde Fatokun, has called on all Nigerians to pray for a prosperous nation on the occasion of the celebration of Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary.
The Chairman Parliamentary Council, who made the call in his message marking the anniversary, however, enjoined Nigerians to observe the holiday with sober reflections.
He further stated that a peaceful and safe celebration should be uppermost in the minds of all Nigerians.
Fatokun lauded the founding fathers of the nation for their vision, patriotism and commitment to building a virile, peaceful and prosperous nation that could serve the socio-economic and security needs of all citizens.
On his part, the leading caretaker chairman, Akinyele LG, Hon Taoreed Jimoh Adedigba has congratulated Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde for successfully piloting the affairs of the state.
He congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 60th independence anniversary and assured all residents of Akinyele that he remains committed to improved service delivery in matters of social amenities.
Hon Taoreed enjoined all Nigerians to always exhibit the spirits of patriotic and remain sensitive to the national demands for peace, security and development as being put in place by Governments at all level to address the challenges of nation-building.
