Abass Oloko Lauds Adelabu for Pioneering Solar Power Initiative in Ibadan
A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and political juggernaut in Oyo State, Alhaji Abass Oloko, has hailed the Minister of Power and Steel, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, for his recent initiative to install solar energy systems in Ibadan.
This installation is part of a broader effort to promote sustainable energy solutions across the state.
Oloko in a statement, praised Adelabu for his commitment to enhancing the energy infrastructure in Oyo State, highlighting the importance of renewable energy in reducing dependence on fossil fuels and combating climate change.
He noted that the solar installation at the historic areas not only symbolizes progress but also serves as a model for other public institutions in the state.

“It reflects a vision for a greener future and showcases the potential of renewable energy in powering our communities,” Oloko stated.
According to him, the solar project is expected to significantly reduce the energy costs associated with the operations and ensure a reliable power supply, particularly during periods of grid instability.
Oloko emphasised that such initiatives are crucial for enhancing the quality of life for residents and promoting economic development in the area.
Furthermore, he called on other leaders and stakeholders in the state to support similar renewable energy projects, urging them to prioritise investments in sustainable technologies.
