Adeaga Empowers 200 Widows, Youths, Others With Cash Gift
The Chairman, Board of Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency, Hon. Abideen Adetokunbo Adeaga, on Friday, empowered Two Hundred individuals with cash gifts to boost their businesses and support their living conditions.
The event, which was held at Alegongo Community Hall, Akobo in Ibadan, was witnessed by party leaders, community stakeholders, youths and women organizations and people with special needs.


The donor appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde, for creating an enabling environment for people to survive the economic hardship faced by Nigerians, saying Oyo State has been the toast of other States in the areas of job creation, community development, workers welfare, support towards food sustenance among other people-oriented programmes.
He added that the empowerment programme started in 2007 and has been sustained till date, stating that about Ten Million Naira (#10million) was expended on the 200 beneficiaries, which include widows, youths, small scale business men and women and people with special needs.

“This gesture started in 2007 and has never stopped since then, all praises to God Almighty, who has made it possible for me to sustain the tempo and add more, so as to meet up with the current economic reality in Nigeria, It is a way to replicate the good deeds of our leader, the Governor of Oyo State in giving respite to the people of the State, which has made Oyo State the darling of all other States.
“I appreciate all our leaders in People’s Democratic Party and those that have made the success of the party reverberate across the nooks and crannies of the world, God will not let you down in your expectations,” he prayed.
Dignitaries at the programme include the former Oyo Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Oribayo Okeyode, a leader of PDP in Oyo State, Elder Kehinde Fabunmi, the State’s PDP Woman Leader, Alhaja Wulemot Ibitoye, Hon. Babatunde Tijani (Double T.), Hon. Olatoye Olajide and the Chairman, Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashir Kamorudeen among others.
