The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has said that Governor Seyi Makinde’s passion for the development of his state when compared to other states in the country is second to none.
Ambassador Arapaja stated this while reacting to the commissioning of phase 1 of the new Mega Watt Ibadan Hybrid Power by Governor Seyi Makinde at the state secretariat, Ibadan today.
In a statement issued by Ambassador Arapaja shortly after the commissioning ceremony but made available to journalists through his Personal assistant Bamitale Ibrahim, Amb. Arapaja stressed that Governor Makinde has demonstrated that he is not an accidental leader but he actually prepared for the office with the numerous achievements he has recorded since 2019 when he came on board.
Arapaja narrated further that the Independent Power Project whose construction was flagged off in December, 2021 will not only ensure 24 hours electricity to the catchment areas that will benefit from it but will also save government costs and improve productivity in the state.
He equally lauded the Governor for the recent appointment of over 19,500 unemployed into the state workforce that will also benefit from the payment of N80,000 minimum wage when fully implemented.
While congratulating Governor Seyi Makinde for this yet another feat, Ambassador Arapaja called on the people to keep faith with the Governor and not to relent in their support for his administration.
