2024 Twins Festival: Hon. Olusola Adeleke Kicks-off Football Competition Among Twins in Igboora

 

As part of the 2024 Igboora World Twins Festival celebrations, Hon. Olusola Adeleke, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, officially kicked off a special football competition among twins. This unique event, held at the Methodist Grammar School Playing Ground, Saganun, Igboora, is one of the highlights of the festival which celebrates the community rich history of multiple births.

In attendance at the competition were royal fathers, Hon. Jide Buhari, Supervisory Councillor for Youth and sports, Hon Jamiu oladapo, supervisory councilors for work and a host of other dignitaries from various walks of life. The presence of these esteemed guests added grandeur to the occasion with the twins competing in friendly matches that symbolized unity, cooperation, and healthy competition.

The football competition not only showcased the talents of the participating twins but also further strengthened the bond of community spirit, as residents and visitors came together to support the festivities.

Hon. Olusola Adeleke, in his opening remarks, emphasized the significance of the event in promoting the local heritage of Igboora, which is widely known as the “twins capital of the world.” He reiterated his administration commitment to fostering unity through sports and cultural celebrations, while also thanking all those who contributed to making the event a success.

The football competition marks an exciting prelude to the main event of the festival, which will host guests and tourists from across the globe, including key figures such as Hon. Adigun Agboworin, the honorable member representing Ibadan North and East Federal Constituency, and other state officials.
