The Oyo State Director-General Liaison Office for Abuja and Lagos, Hon. Chief (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, popularly known as OTOPE, has felicitated with workers on the commemoration of the 2025 International Workers’ Day celebration. He particularly commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde, for his worker-friendly policies throughout almost six years of serving the people of Oyo State.

Dr. OTOPE, in a message released to newsmen in Ibadan on May 1, 2025 through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Segun Akinlabi, said despite the trying times in the country occasioned by incessant cases of insecurity, removal of fuel subsidy, and other economic challenges, there is much to remember about the sacrifices made by Nigerian workers.

He commended workers of Oyo State, especially those in Egbeda and Ona-Ara Local Government Area, at all levels, both in the private and public sectors, for their commitment and dedication to work over the years, which he said has helped shape the economy of the state.

In his words, OTOPE said: “I want to salute your dedication and patriotic services over the years for always giving your best to your work, irrespective of the challenges that abound.”

“Indeed, myself, the state, and Nigerians are proud of you, especially since your activities have added value socially and economically, with the hope that you will continue to sustain the peace enjoyed in the State. While wishing workers a spirit-filled celebration, he charged them to be proud of their work and urged all workers to continue their support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.”
