A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic and a community leader, Elder Ayoade Adekola has congratulated Nigerians on the celebration of the country’s 63rd Independence anniversary.
Adekola’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by him on Sunday and made available to newsmen in Ibadan.
The former full-time board member of Oyo State Housing Corporation appealed to Oyo citizens and residents to support the Seyi Makinde led government in its effort to consolidate on the gains of development made in Omituntun 1.0 which made the electorates to reelect him in the 2023 gubernatorial election.
Adekola further admonished the good people of Oyo to use the opportunity to key into the Sustainable Development as captured in Omituntun 2.0.
“The time has come for us to take centre stage in national reckoning, the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde has moved Oyo State from a regional hub to socio-economic and economic destination in Nigeria.
” I urge my fellow brothers and sisters, Christians, Muslims and Traditionalists to rededicate ourselves to the common vision of taking the Pacesetter State to the higher level. “
