“I think a truck that conveyed a container fell off the road and was lying fallow on the road. A bus was coming from Ibadan with one full light. According to what the survivors told me, the bus collided with the container which blocked almost half of the road.”
“The accident was fatal, a man died on the spot while an infant also died. All efforts to get vehicle to convey other victims to the hospital was futile.”

“The mother of the baby that died also had her own leg fractured, the man that died had his own hand fractured. He might have survived if motorists were willing to assist them before my arrival. I tried all I could to get in touch with the Chairman, Oyo State Road Transport Management Agency (OYRTMA), Mogaji Akin Fagbemi but couldn’t reach him as a result of poor network. Eventually I was able to get in touch with him so that officers of the agency could tow the truck off the road.”
“As I speak with you, I have taken the victims to Iseyin together with Customs and Nigeria police officers.I commend all the officers for their cooperation and support.”
Hon Adedibu promised to foot the their hospital bill before the victims could contact their family members. As we speak, I am at Fadoks Hospital hospital, Iseyin with the victims just to ensure they are being attended to. The staff and management of the hospital attended to the victims upon arrival. I really commend them and I want to use this opportunity to urge other hospitals to emulate them.
