The family of the popular late Pa Ramoni Adeyemo Ishola of Olugbenga’s family Komu in Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State has lauded the contributions of the Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Adeolu Akande, towards the launch of Ramoni Adeyemo Ishola Foundation (RAF) and the retirement ceremony of their father.
The family also thanked groups and other well-meaning Nigerians for their supports for the project and the ceremony.
They expressed their profound gratitude to all Imam and Alfa Itesiwaju LGA,
Prof Adeolu Akande, Honourable Ojo Itesiwaju LGA, Kabiasi Oniro Komu, the Olokaka of Okaka, the Onisia of Otu, Jagun Otu, Itesiwaju Elders’ Forum, Muslim Congress, Ecosa Ltd,Association of Mobile Money and Bank in Nigeria (National and State), the two guest speakers (Alhaji Sheikh Idris Olatunji Yusuf and Alhaji Onike Rahaman), the Olugba’s family home and abroad.
Others are the Kolade family, Committee Members (Hajia Fatimoh Olateju Bello, Ayanladun Wasiu, Eng Aseef Sakibu, Ogunbase Saheed, Baanu Samuel, and Adewale Abdurrahman)
Mr ADEYEMO Yusuf Adeniyi, the Chairman Board of Trustees of the Foundation, who disclosed this said:”We indeed appreciate everyone towards the retirement party of our dear father Pa ADEYEMO Yekeen Abiodun and launching of Ramoni Adeyemo Ishola Foundation (RAF) on the 30th Jan, 2021 at Otu Town Hall, Otu, Oyo State “.
Activities at the event included reading of Holy Quran, two lectures themed: “Role of Family in Building Better Society” and “ Obi Wo Lole So Pe Own Ri Aye Wa” delivered by Alhaji Onike Rahman, Deputy Registrar, Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora and Alhaji Sheikh Idris Olatunji Yusuf, HOD, General Study, Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora respectively.
In all 85 pupils benefited from various educational materials. The Onisia of Otu Oba presented the donation to heads of the two public (NUD Primary School Komu, Baptism Primary School Komu), One private (Al-Aleem N/P School, Otu) and two Arabic schools respectively.
Also, about 100 people got free health services.
A mini-tractor (In appreciation of Prof Adeolu Akande support for many other youths in Oke Ogun and beyond) that can plough and arrowing was donated for the use of farmers in Komu land. Comrade Sinyanbade who represented Prof. Akande presented the tractor to Oniro of Komu Oba Awujoola Jonah.
Adeyemo Abdurahman Adewale who is a final year of Medical Laboratory Student of Lead City University is the President/CEO of the Foundation, Adewale in his remarks call for more support for the foundation and appreciated everyone support for the successful launch of the programme.
An educationist and unionist, Mr. Adeyemo , Yekeen Abiodun was born on the 1st of January 1960, to the family of Aro Olugba compound Komu, Itesiwaju Local Government, Oyo State. He is the second child of Late Pa Adeyemo Ramon Ishola, the son of late Chief Ogunrinola Alabi, (Aro of Komu) and Princess Moninuola Awede, daughter of Late Oba Kolade 1 (Oniro of Komu).
