The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Akinyele Local Government in the forthcoming local government elections, Hon Wole Akinleye has urged residents to show love and support to the downtrodden as Ramadan begins.
Hon Wole’s admonition was contained in a statement signed by him and available to newsmen in Ibadan on Monday.
Dear indigenes and residents of Akinyele Local Government,
“I am honored to extend my warmest Ramadan greetings to you all, as we welcome the holy month of Ramadan.
“Ramadan is a special time for reflection, spiritual growth, and unity. It is a time for self-discipline, self-control, and compassion for others. It is a time when we focus on our faith, family, and community.
“It is a time when we come together to break our fast and share our meals with family, friends, and neighbors.
“As we celebrate this holy month, let us remember those who are less fortunate in our community and extend a helping hand to them.
“Let us pray for peace, prosperity, and harmony in our local government and our country.
“I am committed to serving the people of Akinyele Local Government with all my heart and ensuring that everyone enjoys the benefits of good governance.
“I look forward to working with you all to promote peace, progress, and development in our community.”
Once again,
Ramadan Mubarak.
