Residents of Akinyele Local Government area of Oyo State, on Thursday, have commended Governor Seyi Makinde for the completion and commissioning of the Moniya-Ijaye-Iseyin road project.
Speaking on behalf of the residents of the local government shortly after the road was commissioned by the Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State on Thursday, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Sustainable Development Goals SDGs, Hon Kunle Yusuff MON, pointed out that the road, which was impassable due to its near collapse, has now become easy for motorists to ply.
Yusuff also expressed happiness in the fact that the project will not only boost the economic activities around the local government axis but will set Akinyele among the leading councils in Ibadan.
“With the commissioning of this project today, we are very happy and say a very big thank you to our governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde. Indeed, we see our governor as someone who will always match his promises with performance. He promised it and has delivered it.
“We know the joy we have been deriving since the road got completed. There is easy movement.”
“There is no vehicular traffic. Even, the motorists are appreciative of this effort after it has been delayed. We believe in him and will continue to pray for him to excel in all the things he has promised to execute in the state.” Yusuff concluded.
