Alhaji Suleimana Abdullateef Adediran, widely recognized as Santana, a distinguished chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State and former Executive Chairman of Irepo Local Government Area, has been honored with the prestigious Award of Excellence by the Oyo State Chapter of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).
The award ceremony took place during the PCRC’s annual program held at the Nigerian Police Force Command Headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan. The recognition highlights Alhaji Santana’s exceptional contributions to the development of Oyo State, particularly his impactful leadership in advancing security initiatives during his tenure as Executive Chairman.
Presenting the award, Ambassador (Mrs.) Esther Adegbenjo, Chairman of the Oyo State PCRC, commended Santana’s commitment to community development and his outstanding achievements in fostering a safer and more prosperous environment for the people of Oyo State.
The PCRC Chief acknowledged the significant efforts made by Alh. Santana during his tenure to address the bandit incursions in the forest reserve areas.
In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Santana expressed gratitude to Almighty God and extended his heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for the opportunity to serve. He also praised the PCRC for recognizing his efforts, noting that the honor serves as a renewed motivation to dedicate himself to public service.
“I humbly dedicate this award to my leader, Governor Seyi Makinde, and the good people of the Oke Ogun area of Oyo State,” he stated.
