Arapaja Mourns Demise of Engr. Sunday Makinde consoles Gov. Makinde and His Family

 

The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has expressed heartfelt condolences to the Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde and his family over the passing of his beloved brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde who died in the early hours of today.

Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja’s condolence message was contained in a statement he personally signed but made available to journalists through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim.

Amb. Arapaja described the demise of Engr. Sunday Makinde who was an elder brother to Gov. Seyi Makinde as a painful loss, not only to his family but Oyo state as a whole.

He noted that the deceased was a pillar of support and a beacon of hope who contributed immensely to the development of Oyo state in his own capacity.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Engr. Sunday Makinde. His demise is indeed a great loss to the Makinde family and the people of Oyo state.

Late Sunday Makinde was a compassionate and graceful father who worked tirelessly for the welfare of others. His legacy of humility and service would forever be remembered.” Arapaja stressed.

He prayed for strength and comfort for the Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde and other members of Makinde family that the deceased left behind during this challenging time.

Arapaja equally prayed for the repose of Engr. Sunday Makinde’s soul, asking the Almighty to grant him eternal rest.

“All of us in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stand with His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde and his family in this moment of grief and pray God to grant you the fortitude to bear the painful but irreparable loss.”
