The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party, H.E Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has been sworn in as the Chairman, for the newly inaugurated Board of Governors of the People’s Democratic Institute in Abuja.
Ambassador Arapaja during the Inauguration which held today at the NEC Hall, Wadata plaza, Abuja stated that “the PDI stands as a beacon of the ideals which PDP hold dear. It is also a platform for promoting democratic principles, for nurturing progressive ideas, and for building capacity for effective governance”.
Arapaja pledged that the Board shall dedicate itself fully to the mission and vision of the PDI and to guiding principles of the people’s Democratic Party.
Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion were Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Senator Bukola Saraki, former Governor of Kwara state, Senator Abba Moro, Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abiodun Olujimi, Chief Ezekwezili Nwodo ,founding National Secretary of PDP and hosts of other Party dignitaries across the country.
Arapaja concluded by commending the unwavering dedication, resilience and philanthropy of Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde who has made it possible for the Institute to spring back to life.
