In a heartwarming act of charity, members of the Aviary Association Worldwide Empire Chapter, has visited the Abolongo Correctional Center in Oyo to donate relief materials to the inmates.
During the visit, the coordinator, Oyeniji Oyeniran Nurudeen, stated that the association wanted to make the inmates feel that they were not forgotten and that they were part of the society.”
He said: “We are here to bring joy to our brothers and sisters. I feel highly honoured today for the kind of unusual gesture, warmth reception received from the Management Authority and for the rare opportunity given to us in discharging our charitable donations to the inmates as part of our quota to the Nation buildings.”
“Ours is to bring joy to our brothers and sisters so as to make them having sense of belonging. And, to keep their bodies and souls together. While , we all knew that not all incarcerated are guilty.”
“Therefore, being in this situation should not be seeing as last resorts or blocked road. Believing, we are all going to get to our desirable destinations by God’s grace.”
“Moreso, we lauded the efforts of this correctional center towards providing best services to our brothers and sisters overhere.”
The inmates were overjoyed by the donation and the kind gestures from the members of the Aviary Association Worldwide.
The relief materials, which included liquid soap, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, soap, and envelopes, were distributed to the inmates by the Aviary Association Worldwide members.
The gesture was not only appreciated by the inmates but also gave them a sense of hope and happiness.
The visit ended with a special prayer from Mr. Adediran for the continued success and well-being of the members of the Aviary Association Worldwide.
The visit, however, was met with enthusiasm and appreciation from the inmates and the correctional center staff alike.
Mr. Timothy Adediran, the Controller of the center, expressed his gratitude for the thoughtful donation, stating: “We are very grateful to the Aviary Association Worldwide for their generosity.”
