In a bid to advance the benefits of the Food Bank Project of the Beulah Adeoye Foundation, Amoofin Beulah Adeoye, the President and Founder of the foundation and his team flagged off FOOD BANK PROJECT initiative for the interest of the general public, students, market men and women in particular.
The flag off program held at the Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan witnessed the distribution of packs of foodstuffs to students of the institution.
Addressing the press men after the distribution to the college students present at the College Hall for the flag off, the Food Bank Project Coordinator, Miss Nafisat Adebusola explained the rationale and story behind the initiative of the foundation.
“This initiative from Beulah Adeoye Foundation is to help Oyo State indigent students to ease their welfare at the very best way the foundation could.”
“We believe in community development, and educational institutions are part of them, and why we continuously do our best at Beulah Adeoye Foundation to reach out to those we can at this period of our country’s economy.”
“Today’s flag off is remarkable in the journey of the foundation. We are moving from one higher institution to the others to extend our welfare services and packages for the benefit of the student community.”
“We are also reaching out to the market women in Oje, Mokola, Bodija, Sabo, and a few other markets.”
According to her, the next phase of the distribution is other geopolitical zones of the state, Oyo town, Ogbomoso, Okeogun and Ibarapa. Through that, we will explore the local government areas of the state.” Nafisat Adebusola noted.
Also speaking is the Students’ Union President of the institution, Com. Fadare Tolase Damilare who thanked the founder and President of the foundation, Amofin Beulah Adeoye for founding the school worthy of recognition for the flag off program.
“We are indeed happy to have the Beulah Adeoye Foundation people around our campus. And for them bringing succor to my constituents. You can see the beneficiaries are happy and it will help them in focusing on their studies at this time.”
“While we are thanking the foundation for this initiative, we are equally seeking for more initiatives that will benefit students at large. God will continue to bless the founder and President, Amofin Beulah Adeoye, and the entire foundation members for their sacrifices in putting smiles on the face of people.”
Mr. Ridwan Fasasi, Amofin Beulah Adeoye’s Chief of Staff, while appreciating the management of the institution for giving them a warm welcome, he further appreciated the students for accepting offer from the foundation’s FOOD BANK PROJECT.
Mr. Fasasi further noted that the foundation and the founder have the interest of the students’ community at heart and that is why the flag-off held inside an academic institution.
“Just as the project coordinator has said, we are advancing to other geopolitical zones of the state. And we believe the initiative will give a succor to the beneficiaries.” He said.
Feedbacks from some of the beneficiaries, they have a voice that the project is timely and impactful as it will help their welfare needs for now, and relief the stress on their parents at home.
In total, the team visited Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, University of Ibadan and Federal School of Statistics, Ajibode.
