Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has declared that the sum of N41 billion has been earmarked for the upgrade of Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, Alakia Ibadan to international standard.
Makinde gave the figure at the ground breaking ceremony for the upgrade of Ibadan airport.
The Governor said his administration conceived the vision to upgrade the airport to international standard since 2019.
He promised that the project would be delivered in 12 months adding that the upgrade will turn Ibadan to a regional business hub in Southwest zone.
