There are indications that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party PDP, is heading towards a landslide victory in the just concluded local government elections held on Saturday in Oyo State.
Results announced from some polling units in Ibadan main city and lbadan less city showed that the PDP is leading the major opposition party with a wide margin.
The situation is not different in some polling units in Ogbomoso zone, Oyo zone, Oke Ogun zone 1 and 2 as well as Ibarapa zone.
Meanwhile, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Electoral Matters, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has carpeted the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) over what he described as its ill-preparedness for the local government election held in the state on Saturday.
According to Newscoven.com, Alli, who represents Oyo South Senatorial District on the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said this while addressing newsmen at his family compound located at Ward 3, in Ibadan North Local Government Area.
He decried reported cases of late arrival of electoral materials in some parts of the state, alleging that lots of abnormalities characterised the conduct of the election.
However, the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) will begin the announcement of results any moment till Sunday.
