Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Southwest Zonal Congress, leaders and stakeholders of the former ruling party have unanimously adopted the consensus method in the election of party officials.
The party took the decision at a meeting held on Wednesday at Agodi Government House, Ibadan, Oyo State Capital.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, a former Deputy Governor of Oyo State and current Deputy National Chairman (South) , Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja stated that the leaders adopted the consensus arrangement for the congress to avert the crisis and division experienced in 2020 when the congress was held in Osogbo.
