Constituents Rejoice as Ibarapakan Facilitates  Job Opportunities for Unemployed Youths

Christmas certainly came early for a few constituents as the member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, facilitated another set of federal government jobs for some constituents, which has increased the ever-growing number of employed youths in the constituency and Oyo State since given the mandate to serve as a member of parliament in 2023.

Receiving newly employed constituents in his office at the National Assembly of Nigeria on Monday, December 2, 2024, Hon. Adebayo Adepoju said he is committed to ensuring every household in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Local Government Areas of Oyo State has a member in the service of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The fresh set of employed constituents in the service of the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, includes: Mr. Musiliu Omilakin Adebisi (Senior Nursing Officer) from Igangan, Miss Ebo Mary Adejumoke (Nursing Officer) from Idere, Mr. Alabi Samson Oluwaseun (Community Health Technology) from Tapa, and Dr. Adeniji David Opeyemi (Medical Officer) from Ogbomoso.

The lawmaker stated that the statistics of constituents who have been given job opportunities from Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency in the last seventeen months of his stewardship are highly impressive, promising to continue to go above and beyond to make sure every graduate in the constituency is gainfully employed.

Congratulating the newly employed constituents, Hon. Adebayo Adepoju urged them to be good ambassadors of their constituency while serving the Federal Republic of Nigeria with dedication and selflessness.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character also announced the successful facilitation of a number of constituents in the service of the Nigerian Army; he noted that the young constituents showed strong interest in the noble profession during the June 87RRI recruitment exercise of the institution this year, expressing his joy to also meet the demands of those he described as future Nigerian Chiefs of Army Staff. He said those he facilitated job opportunities for recently in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) would also soon be done with their six-month mandatory training, the development he described as a giant step to reduce unemployment in the constituency.

He therefore promised the people of the constituency more employment letters in the coming weeks, saying a number of constituents are already on the waiting list of various agencies and parastatals of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

“This mandate that was freely given to me is a responsibility I take with utmost seriousness, and I will not rest until we fulfill your aspirations for a greater Ibarapaland, Oyo State and Nigeria,” he remarked.

Hon. Adepoju, however, thanked His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, whom he described as the architect of a modern and progressive Oyo State, for showing inspiring leadership and guidance, which he said had shaped his legislative journey so far since June 2023.
