DG FMPN Visits OTOPE, Pledges Support For Oyo Govt To Curtail Illegal Mining

 

The Director-General , Forestry and Mining Protection of Nigeria, Dr Abduallahi S.Ogbabede has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Oyo State Government and victims of Bodija explosion.

Dr Abduallahi commiserated with the government of Oyo State when he paid a courtesy call on the Director-General, Liaison Office Abuja and Lagos, Hon Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji OTOPE on Thursday in Abuja.

Expressing deep distress over the devastating explosion, he acknowledged the significant investments made by Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration in enhancing the state’s security architecture.

He shared the pain and sorrow brought upon Oyo State by the tragic incident.

Dr Abdullahi urged Oyo State residents to speak up whenever they encounter anything that could endanger lives, highlighting the importance of such information for diligent actions by security agencies.

He further affirmed his commitment to collaborate with the state government and put a stop to illegal mining in the state.

In his remarks, OTOPE commended Dr Abduallahi for the visit and promised to deliver his message to His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde.
