The Association of Medical and Dental Officer’s of Oyo State (AMDO) in its 2024 Non Executive Annual General Meeting tagged “Security Hazard:A National Epidemic;Doctors as endangered species presented a distinguished personality award on the chaiman of Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board(OYSHMB),Dr Akin Fagbemi for his contribution to the health profession in the state and his unwavering support to the sustainable health care delivery of Engr Oluseyi Makinde under Omi-Tuntun 2.0 agenda for the betterment of good people of Oyo state.
In his word of acceptance of the award,Dr Fagbemi said the theme of the annual general meeting is important,which is a menace within the society especially at this crucial moment of the nation when the nation and the whole world is passing through hard time.
He therefore praises the executive governor of Oyo State Engr Oluseyi Makinde for all the strategic moves with regards to providing security not only for the doctors but for the entire citizen of Oyo State.
The chairman also thanked the governor of Oyo State for his magnanimity and support towards the doctor’s and health families in Oyo state.
Dr Fagbemi stressed further that very soon the state will be injecting new doctors, specialist,nurses, medical laboratory scientist and others through the support of his excellency Engr Oluseyi Makinde,the good people of Oyo state should expect a better health care delivery in Oyo state.
In the entourage to the event at the Nigeria Medical Association(NMA) House with Dr Akin Fagbemi is the Permanent Secretary in the board,Dr Anifat Ibraheem,the Director of Medical Services,Dr Femi Adesanya and the Director of Nursing services(Clinical),Mrs Bolaji Ayoola.
