A member of the Federal House of Representatives in the 8th Assembly representing Ajeromi Ifelodu constituency, Committee Chairman on Diaspora 8th Assembly and chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, Honorable Rita Orji, has enjoined Nigeria Muslims to use the period of Eid-el-fitr to pray for the unity of Nigeria.
The PDP leader made this known in a statement that she personally signed, which was addressed to Muslim faithfuls across Nigeria.
The statement reads;
“I am elated with joy to once again join you, my Muslim brothers and sisters across the country and beyond, to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-fitr, which marks completion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
As you joyfully conclude the 2021 Holy Month of Ramadan, I enjoin you, my beloved faithfuls of Islam, to use this period to preach peaceful coexistence and pray for the unity of Nigeria. This is because we will not have luxury to celebrate and merry without a peaceful society.
I also urge abstinence from every from of deeds and immorality that negates the tenets of Islam and displeases the Almighty Creator.
Congratulations once again and Happy Eid-el-fitr celebrations.
