Eid el Kabir: Extend Good Hands Of Fellowship To Friends, Neighbours – Ogooluwa LG Boss, Adesoye Charges Muslim Faithful

The Chairman of Ogooluwa Local Government, Hon. Ojo Oluwaseun Adesoye, on Tuesday, felicitated with the Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, calling on them to use the period for sober reflection and imbibe the spirit of sacrifice for peace, unity and progress of the country.

He equally urged them to emulate the practice of Prophet Mohammed in the spirit of the sallah celebration by extending good hands of fellowship to friends and neighbours alike.

In a statement personally signed and made available to journalists, the Council Boss noted that peaceful co-existence and understanding, as well as sustained prayers among citizens, are essential in the face of the current economic and security challenges in the country.

He said: “As we go about the celebration of this year’s sallah, I like us to extend good hands of fellowship to our brothers and sister as well as our neighbors. Let us love one another and live peacefully.

“We must make conscious efforts to put ourselves in sober reflection and imbibe the spirit of sacrifice for peace, unity and progress of the state and the country at large.

“The security challenges are not insurmountable and we must all come together, pray and get ourselves out of this doldrum.”
