Eid-el-Kabir: Oyo PMS Chairman, Tommy Donates Rams, Cows, Food Items to Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Correctional Centre

 

In a show of generosity and compassion, the Chairman of Oyo State Park Management System, PMS, Alhaji Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa popularly known as Tommy has donated a number of rams, cows, and food items to the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiy Agbotomokekere, and the Ibadan Correctional Centre to mark the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Tommy, said the donation was part of his efforts to promote the spirit of giving and sharing in the society, especially during religious festivals like Eid-el-Kabir.

Speaking at Agodi Correctional Centre, Ambassador Tomiwa urged the inmates not to lose hope stating that they were in the process of rehabilitation which would make them better persons in the society as soon as they regained their freedom.

“It is my sincere belief that the essence of Islam is peace and service to humanity.”

“Therefore, I see this as an opportunity to extend a hand of love and kindness to those in need and to promote the spirit of sharing and togetherness in our society.”

Earlier, the grand Imam of Oyo State and Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheik Abduganiy Agbotomokekere lauded Ambassador Wasiu Tomiwa for restoring peace among different transport stakeholders in Oyo State. He prayed for his success and urged not to derail from the peaceful path his administration has taken since his assumption of office a year ago.

Similarly, the DCC Odunlami and DCC Ahmed of Agodi Correctional Centre expressed their profound gratitude to Ambassador Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa for his goodwill gesture.

They urged other eminent personalities in the state to emulate Tommy by identifying with those in need at this period.
