The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has congratulated the Muslim faithfuls in Nigeria as they join their counterparts across the world to celebrate the 2024 Eid-el-Kabir festival.
Amb. Arapaja said the celebration is all about obedience to Almighty Allah’s commandment to Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ishmael . Despite how unpleasant the command appears, he obeyed; but God gave him a ram in place of his son and commended his loyalty to his commandments.
In his goodwill message made available to the media through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim, Arapaja urged all residents of Oyo State to continue giving support to the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde and believe his vision, as he embarks on massive development of the entire state as continuation of his second term tenure in office.
“I congratulate our leader and the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, the Aare musulumi of Yorubaland (Edo & Delta States), Alhaji Dahud Makanjuola Akinola (De-Damak), Seriki Musulumi of Yorubland, Alhaji Yekini Adeojo, the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Agbotomokekere and all Muslim Ummah in Oyo State and beyond on this year 2024 Eid-el-Kabir.
