Eid-el-kbir: Hon Alawode Urges Muslims to Imbibe Virtuous Life of Obedience, Love, Justice

 

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode has called on Muslims to emulate the virtuous life of total obedience, love, justice, and self-sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim as they celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir.

Hon. Alawode said this while congratulating the Muslims in the council area, Oyo State and Nigeria at large as they join other faithful around the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.

In his goodwill message, the council boss described the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim as the whole essence of Eid-el-Kabir celebration adding that observance of such virtues by Muslim faithful would take the country to the Promised Land.

The Arole Omituntun urged the Muslim Ummah to uphold the lessons of love, loyalty and sacrifice which form the foundation of the Eid-el- Kabir celebration, during and after the festivities.

He then called on adherents of Islam to use the period to offer prayers for the unity and progress of the country, reiterating that peaceful co-existence and understanding as well as sustained prayers among citizens were essential in the face of the current economic and security challenges in the country.
