In the aftermath of the tragic Bodija Explosion in Ibadan that left several injured, a few dead, and properties extensively damaged, community and political leader Elder Adekola Ayoade has expressed his heartfelt sympathy towards the victims.
In a statement issued by the Chairman of Omituntun Mega Praise, Elder Ayoade conveyed his deep concern, describing the incident as worrisome and disheartening.
“He emphasized the magnitude of the lives and properties affected, expressing solidarity with all victims and offering prayers for the quick recovery of those undergoing treatment in various hospitals.
Elder Ayoade, a former full-time board member of Oyo State Housing Corporation, took the opportunity to appreciate Governor Seyi Makinde for his prompt response and the immediate relief support provided to the victims.
“He encouraged residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities that could jeopardize their safety, believing it would assist security agencies in performing their duties and preventing future occurrences.
Addressing the concerns of residents seeking justice, Elder Ayoade assured them to remain calm, instilling confidence in Governor Makinde’s commitment to holding all responsible parties accountable for the tragic incident.
“He urged the community to trust in the governor’s assurances that those involved would face the consequences of their actions.”
