The Chairman of the Oyo State Water Corporation, Hon. Elias Adeojo, has once again demonstrated purposeful leadership and deep-rooted compassion by extending generous cash support to residents of Ido Local Government Area in celebration of the Yuletide season.

The well-received intervention underscored Adeojo’s growing reputation as a people-oriented administrator whose commitment to grassroots welfare goes beyond official duty.

Beneficiaries cut across vulnerable residents, community stakeholders, youths and party loyalists, many of whom described the gesture as timely and impactful.

Adeojo said his action was guided by a sincere desire to alleviate hardship and ensure that the joy of the season is shared among all.

“Leadership must touch lives in real ways. The Yuletide offers us an opportunity to show love and stand with our people, especially those who are struggling to make ends meet,” he said.

Adeojo reaffirmed his strong bond with Ido LG, noting that his continuous engagement with the people remains a personal priority.

“This community has given me unwavering support over the years. Giving back is not a favour; it is a responsibility I carry with pride,” he stated.

Beyond the festive gesture, Adeojo also spoke on his broader vision for community development, emphasising inclusive governance, social welfare and sustainable progress.

“Our people deserve dignity, support and hope. When leaders remain close to the grassroots, development becomes meaningful and lasting,” he added.

Community leaders were unanimous in their praise, describing Adeojo as a consistent and dependable leader.

They said Adeojo’s intervention reflected his character and leadership style.

“Hon. Adeojo is not a fair-weather leader. He shows up, listens and acts. This support will bring genuine relief to many homes,” said a community leader.

Youth representatives also applauded the gesture, noting that Adeojo’s approach has continued to inspire confidence among young people.

“He understands the struggles of the people and responds with action. This is leadership that earns respect,” youth leader said.

Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude, offering prayers for Adeojo’s continued success and service.

“This support has brought joy to my family. May God reward him and lift him higher,” said another beneficiary.

The event ended on a high note, with residents describing Adeojo as a symbol of responsive governance and a leader whose compassion continues to strengthen the social fabric of Ido Local Government Area.
