The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Housing and Urban Development, Hon Olakunle Akinsete has expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the families and victims of the explosion that affected some areas in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Tuesday night.
The Special Adviser’s sympathy was contained in a statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen at the scene of the incident.
Shete as he is fondly called, applauded his principal and leader, Governor Seyi describing his actions on the incident as not only swift but decisive and commendable. His words:
“We stand with heavy hearts and deep sorrow over the tragic and devastating explosion that occurred at Bodija in Oyo State. Our thoughts and condolences go out to all those who have been affected by this terrible incident.
“The loss of lives and the suffering caused by this explosion have left an indelible mark of sadness in our hearts. We mourn with the families who have lost loved ones, and we pray for the swift recovery of those who have been injured.
“We also extend our deepest gratitude to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, for his swift and decisive actions in response to this tragic event.
“Governor Makinde’s leadership and the rapid mobilization of necessary resources and personnel to the scene of the explosion have been instrumental in managing the aftermath of this disaster.
“His proactive approach has undoubtedly provided much-needed support to the affected individuals and communities during this difficult time.
“In the face of this tragedy, we stand united in support of the affected individuals and families, and we are encouraged by the outpouring of solidarity and compassion from across the region. Our hearts go out to the entire community as they navigate through this difficult period of grief and recovery. We offer our sincerest condolences, and we pledge to stand in solidarity with the people of Oyo State as they come to terms with the aftermath of this heartbreaking event.
“As we come together to support those who have been impacted, we also express our profound gratitude to the first responders, emergency services, and volunteers.
