The immediate past councilors in Akinyele Local Government on Monday held its first reunion meeting for those who served from 2021 to 2024.
The gathering was filled with gratitude as attendees expressed their appreciation to God for the opportunity to reunite and for their lives. They lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his various developmental strides across the state.
The former councilors offered prayers for the success of the present council chairman, PDP leaders and stakeholders, Oyo Assembly members and more importantly, they prayed for the repose of the soul of the immediate past council boss, late Hon Taoreed Jimoh Adedigba.
Attendees extended their heartfelt appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde for the privilege of serving as councilors under his administration.
They acknowledged the memorable projects executed during their tenure and commended the governor’s wisdom in leading the state.
Honorable members present at the meeting included, Hon. Adeleke Oluwafemi Michael from Ward 1; Hon. Olukunle Oluwafemi M. from Ward 2; Hon. Lamidi Taofeek from Ward 3; Hon. Lawal Mutiu from Ward 4; Hon. Ojelabi Oluwaseun from Ward 5; Hon. Audu Abibat Bamidele from Ward 6; Hon. Odunlami Ismail from Ward 7; Hon. Olalere Jimoh Taofeek from Ward 9; Hon. Adediji Shina Gboyega from Ward 10 and Hon. Yinka Akano from Ward 12.
Former councilors from Ward 8 and Ward 11 were unable to attend due to genuine reasons.
