The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Oyo 1 State Branch today conferred a prestigious Award of Excellence on the Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to grassroots development and good governance.
The event, held amidst celebration and high attendance, also honoured other notable personalities including the Oranmiyan of Oko Land, Oba Dr. Solomon Olagoke Akinola Oyeyode, Deacon Kayode Adedeji Makinde, brother to the Governor of Oyo State and Chairman of the occasion, Alhaja Aisha Adenike Olabamiji, CEO of Abula Palace, Hon. Ibraheem Ankitayo, Chairman of Ibadan North East LG, Comrade Ayobami Adeogun, President of Oyo State NULGE, among other dignitaries.
In his address, the Chairman of ANAN Oyo 1 State Branch, Dr. Esanju Samuel Olaloye, expressed deep appreciation to the awardees and guests for their presence and donations, members of the executive for their unwavering support towards the progress of the association.
While receiving the award, Hon. Alawode thanked the leadership of ANAN for the honour describing the award as a motivation to do more for the people of Ibadan South East and Oyo State at large. He reiterates his commitment to transparency, accountability, and people-centered governance at the grassroots.
The council boss was accompanied to the event by a strong delegation including; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Kareem, Chief Whip of the Legislative House, Hon. Akeem Alarape, Chief of Staff Prince Olusegun Oludaye, Supervisor for Works, Hon. Saheed Azeez, Special Assistant to the Chairman, Hon. Kudirat Babatunde, Hon. Ademola Oyetunde, Hon. Kehinde Olayiwola, Hon. Rasheed Gbadamosi, Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Dr. Agnes Olakunbi Ojo, Director of Administration and General Services, Mr. Kayode Bamgbade, Director of Finance and Supply, Mr. Layo Ogunmakinde and several other key officials.
The occasion was a celebration of excellence and a testament to Hon. Alawode’s growing recognition for impactful leadership.
