The lawmaker representing Akinyele Constituency 1, Hon Ayotunde Fatokun has commiserated with the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, over the death of his mother, Madam Abigail Makinde.
The Governor’s mother died in the early hours of today, 15/10/2020 after a brief illness.
In a statement issued by the Chairman Parliamentary Council to commiserate with Makinde and the mama’s family, Fatokun said: “my thoughts and prayers go out to them at this moment of grief.
”Madam Abigail was an exceptionally good-hearted personality who stood beside his children with wise counsel and prayers, which immensely contributed to Makinde’s success as governor.
“In grief, we are however consoled that Madam Abigail lived as a devout Christian and we believe that she has found rest in the bosom of the Saviour.”
“I commiserate with Governor Makinde and the extended family and pray God to grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.’’ Fatokun concluded.
