Ibadan Southeast LG Boss Vows to Bolster Security Architecture, Seeks Community Collaboration

 

In a bid to enhance the security of the Ibadan Southeast Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode has pledged to fortify the existing security infrastructure.

The local government chairman made this commitment while addressing a gathering of community leaders, security personnel, and other stakeholders at the Ibadan Southeast Local Government secretariat.

Hon Alawode, in his remarks, emphasized the need for collective action and cooperation between the government and citizens to tackle security challenges in the Local Government area.

He expressed concern about the recent spate of security incidents in the area, and pledged to take proactive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.

“It is our collective responsibility to keep our community safe. We will work closely with security agencies and community leaders to identify and address potential threats to our security.”

The local government chairman outlined his administration’s plans to improve the security architecture in the area, which included strengthening collaboration with the police, Amotekun, and other security agencies, as well as enhancing surveillance and intelligence gathering capabilities.

He also emphasized the need for community-based policing and encouraged citizens to report suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.

“We must all be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. We cannot afford to take our security for granted,” he said.

During the meeting, community leaders and stakeholders expressed their support for the Local Government Chairman’s plans and pledged to work with the government to improve security in the area.
