Oyo State Commissioner for Local government and Chieftaincy Matter, Hon. Segun Olayiwola on Saturday inspected road project in Ibarapa area of the state.
The commissioner who was accompanied by the consultants, directors at the ministry and local government chairmen expressed satisfaction with the quality of job done by Quick Born Nigeria limited.
He said ,”So far the contractor has done a satisfactory job, we are satisfied, i will only advised that the members of the public should ensure proper usage of the facilities and don’t lit the drainages with dirt for easy passage of water.
He equally directed council chairmen to mandate their Director of Works to monitor and ensure proper usage of government facilities within their domain.
He added that, The governor has done his bit, the environment and work departments of each local government should be proactive in monitoring the roads and other public facilities.
The chairman. Ibarapa North local government Lateef Adebare and Ibarapa Central Hon Adedoyin Adeoye in their separate remarks expressed their profound gratitude to the governor for fixing the road which has been one of the major challenges in the area.

A community leader, Alhaji Arigbabuwo said since the road was fixed, the economy of the area which has been in comatose before have been revived and people goods and commodity are now enjoy easy movement, we are grateful to governor Makinde and we appreciate the contractor for doing a quality Job.
Another resident, Hon Tajudeen Ajibola said “Before this rehabilitation, the road was in bad shape with collapse bridges infact there were times when nobody could cross to the other side because of the bad road but today we are happy because governor Makinde has fixed it, Apart from acknowledging the effort of the government, i also want to commend the contractor, he well, he was able to allay our fear on some section of the road with his expertise.”
